As adults, we can all look back at our lives and find those moments that truly mattered. Often we think of the big stuff …. our first job, getting married, becoming a parent. But if you think long enough, you’ll discover there were plenty other smaller moments that made you who you are today …. a word of encouragement from a teacher, catching your first fish, or riding your bike to the next block.

Now, imagine a child going to camp for the first time, unsure but hopeful. Making a new friend. Learning to swim. Laughing out loud. Moments like these, small but important, are made possible through the generosity of donors that support local camp programs and services.

But these days, we know that for many families, financial barriers stand in the way. Some parents simply can’t afford this experience for their children. That’s where our annual Fill the Bus initiative, a program that helps local children experience the joy and growth of summer camp, fits in. Thanks to community partners like you,
